Long time no see!
It seems the last time you heard from me, I was desperately spell-checking and re-reading Packing for Three Weeks in Europe on my shaking tablet. I had such high hopes! I promised myself I was going to wake up early, enjoy coffee at a cafe with a patio and type away on the smallest tablet there is, telling of all the extravagant stories I had had the night before.
None of that happened.
No waking up early, no coffee on patios, and definitely no blog writing.
What ended up happening, was early afternoons and lunch with beer, late nights full of music, and afternoons of happy hour. There was lots of coffee – in parks, in bars, in middle of streets, on high-speed trains, in dingy back-door alleys. I spent afternoons reading e-books, and some afternoons wandering cities with strangers. Some afternoons were simply for travel, and one was spent in bed.
Needless to say, my three weeks in Europe was amazing.
And now, over two months later, I’ve finally sat down to write this post for the dozenth time. Unfortunately, the writers block I’ve been suffering from hasn’t seemed to fade. It just leaves you staring at the notepad or computer screen through hazy eyes (and not the good kind).
But now I have some time off – my last few days of freedom. So instead of wasting away watching TV, I’ll do it while brainstorming how to tell you about how unbelievable Scotland is, and how travelling sometimes doesn’t live up to what you wanted it to be.
Until next time!
